Khaled Hosseini is an author who creates worlds that are rendered in deep feelings of sadness. He doesn’t fabricate stories with false hope. He portrays things as they are- in a slice of life manner, and keeps the reader hooked with the intricate details throughout.
An interesting read about how different lives are intertwined with each other for generations together and how power and privilege can dominate over the life of simpletons.
For someone who is not good at remembering names, it was surprisingly easy for me to connect the dots of this beautiful story that is interlaced with various sub-plots and characters. With each chapter, you get a different perspective to the story and realise how and why people are shaped the way they are.
